They're working very, very hard to steal or get them before you do your most profitable account holders.
And they're doing it with data.
But this is where I say this gets really interesting, specifically in the context of community financial institutions.
And this was the whole conversation this CRO and I had.
And she said, but at the end of the day, one of the things she struggles with, those people that aren't the profitable members, those are the ones that need a credit union or community bank more than anybody.
They're the ones who really need somebody in their corner that doesn't just see them as a profit tool.
They see them as a human.
They see them as a person, a part of their community.
They see someone that they want to help.
And that's their chartered mission.
I mean, the credit union mission is people helping people, for goodness sake, right?
And so you have to.
That's a part of your mission.
And that's what we want to do.
And that's what makes us feel good.
But it's hard to run a profitable business that way.
And so you have to start thinking about, well, what are the other things that I can do in my business to generate revenue so that can continue that mission?
Right.
But I think that also to bring this all the way back to what we started this with, Tommy, it brings us into then all of a sudden we fall into this trap of like, I have to do all the things to support that marginal user, though, because that's actually a part of my mission.
So taking your external background and now being a part of this industry for a couple of years and the learnings you've taken there, if you were to give a piece of advice to community financial institution leaders who are thinking about how do I optimize my processes for success?
