And I feel like this is what, to Hamish's point, this is kind of like what Bluey has shown parents.

And I feel it's a bit stereotyped to say dads, but that's how it feels to me.

The two main things I think we get from play are the first one is that it helps children to feel loved.

I feel like when they're asking you to get on the floor with them and play, they're not asking for a performance.

They're not asking to be entertained.

They're asking for connection through attention.

So I reckon that's the first thing that I've taken from Bluey.

And the second one is actually for adults.

I feel like play helps adults to feel alive.

So like when Bandit drops everything and gets on the floor with the girls and

Like he's instantly connected to things like wonder and creativity and silliness and joy, which I think for a lot of us that stuff is buried beneath emails and mortgages and all those kind of things.

The more I think about it just now in this moment, but play, it teaches us so many of the most important skills we have

As adults, I think, so I was, Josh's son, Charlie, was at our place the other day.

And so I had Charlie, who's six.

I had my youngest son, who's three.

And I had our oldest son, who's nine.

And we're all playing together and we're playing Star Wars.

And we all had a lightsaber.
