And we had this scripted lightsaber battle and so Charlie and my oldest were Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan and asked Darth Vader and then we couldn't think of another evil character for my three-year-old to be that would have a lightsaber so he was little Darth Vader.

And they scripted it so they had music playing and we scripted it so we bumped into each other in the hallway and

and there was a few lines that we had back and forth and we had it going and every time we started, my three-year-old didn't know what was going on, would turn around and strike me down.

Anyway, the frustration on Charlie and Benji's face is quite evident, and we tried it a few times.

We explained to him and said, no, you're on Daddy's team, so you don't kill him.

And he'd go, okay.

And we'd start again.

He'd turn and go, ah, and cut me in half.

And in the end, it was like they decided to tolerate it, and then they were flexible with it.

So they said, okay, so big Darth Vader dies, but you only die for five minutes, and then you come back, and then you kill all of us.

And so that became – but that was so –

They had to tolerate what wasn't perfect.

And this is a three-year-old.

It was the three-year-old who was ruining everything.

He didn't know what was going on.

But then the six and the nine-year-old had to tolerate it and be tolerant.

And then they had to come up with a new plan and be flexible.

And I just think that's so much of life, really.
