I like where the Lakers are at at that point.
If you don't get that four, now you're missing two starting spots.
You're putting Quentin Grimes in a position where I think he's overtasked
with just doing too much.
And I don't think you have enough there at the four where it's either Jake, who probably shouldn't be starting, or Mamu, who's like a fringe starter-level guy, but I don't think a starting-level guy on this particular roster.
I said on our show that I think it could be a smokescreen.
Like right now it's lying season.
And I just think based on their needs, it doesn't really make sense why they would draw the line at that contract.

Like, I mean, I would rather have him than Quinton Grimes.
I'd rather have him than Mamu.
So if you were willing to buy into these bench guys on to Trevor's point, like not even necessarily like bargain contracts, it wasn't like you got your below market value.
I think if anything, you overpaid for each of those guys, not by much, maybe like one or 2 million, but like,
You gave them four year deals.
You paid like the max of their value and you gave them player options.
I don't see why all of a sudden they're like, well, PJ Washington, four years, 88 million.
That's too much for us.
So I think there's a smokescreen element here of they're probably more interested than is what is being put out there.
And we see teams right now are posturing.
