The technique, some of the discipline can be better, but the defensive playmaking, he's already blocked multiple three pointers and you see guys sort of miscalculate his ability to close out and he closes that gap and blocks the shot.

So I think you're starting to see some defensive playmaking with him, which I think is encouraging and will ultimately determine how much he can actually play.

even if he's shooting at a certain level, I think we've seen with like Dalton connect, you still got to defend and process the game at a certain level.

So, but to me right now, he looks like a top eight or nine guy on this version of the roster and we'll see what other moves they make to potentially slot him a little bit lower.

Yeah, I've really liked him as a roller, and I think that's where you can really leverage his athleticism, the verticality, and just, I mean, there was a couple back cuts or you're slipping out of the screen where he just got a lob dunk, right?

And so I think what we're talking about here with both

Cameron Carr and a do is you need finishers and you need two way finishers around Luca and Austin.

I think when we go back to last season, when the Lakers looked at their best, it was guys like Jake LaRavia and Marcus smart making shots because they already had that defensive utility, but when they can make shots, be aggressive and keep the defense honest, it just gave you nowhere to hide on, on either side of the ball.

And like it allowed a certain level of defense out there, but then it was like, okay, well these guys we normally would cheat off of, but if Jake's having a 40%,

shooting night 45% shooting night compared to his typical 32% well all of a sudden the Lakers are a different team on both sides of the ball so I think that's what they're hoping for here with a do and Cameron Carr is like that level of just athleticism and in the finishing with Carr I think it's more on the perimeter with the do it's more on the interior but I think a do has looked progressively more comfortable he's he was very erratic the first like game and a half or so and

I still question how much the ball handling will translate at the NBA level.

I look at some of the guys who's beating off the dribble against the OKC.

Those are not NBA level defenders that he will be facing.

So he can leverage that strength, athleticism off the dribble against non-NBA defenders.

Can he do that in traffic?

Can he do that against real guys who are going to prevent that low gather that he's so good at?

Well, we'll see, but I am so far encouraged by the transition and,
