And there were some where he was in the right place at the right time, some where he made fantastic plays.
The Chiefs game Monday night, 100-yard pick six, I mean, that is a good scouting play.
And he went and executed what they taught and what he learned in the film room that week to step in front of that pass.
And that was really well done on his part.
There were a lot of things like that.
But I think in theory, they didn't want to really go over a big number for that because there is a feeling I think they can get that type of position in the draft this year.
Names, I don't know.
It's too far down the list right now with the Jags going 56 and beyond of who those possibilities could be.
But those players are out there, okay, and they're kind of up against the cap, and okay, he didn't really perform that great in the years prior.
He had some inconsistencies there, and he was used differently last year.
There's all that.
So is it a loss?
Sure.
Is it, oh, gosh, the sky's falling loss?
No, because I think the way that position's played in college, especially there are players out there that they feel like,
can at least step in and contribute.
They probably won't have five interceptions as a season, but that position is really not designed for that either.
It was a fantastic season for him, but now it's on to the next.
It's a great question.
It really is an interesting perspective.
