Okay, so with that, JT, thank you for your time.
Appreciate it, and we'll see you soon.
Thanks, guys.
Thanks, JT.
And now we can begin to take some questions for Dave or Rob Thompson or Preston Mattingly.
Let's go to Matt Gell.
Dave, did you think you had a deal with Bichette done and why do you think it didn't get done?
And when you're
getting that close to something of that magnitude and then end up not getting there.
How do you get past that?
And, and, you know, what, I guess, like, how do you feel about how the off season went?
You know, if, if, you know, you're sitting here three weeks, I guess, before pitchers and catchers.
Tim Kelly next.
Hey Dave, during an interview earlier this off season, Preston said that you guys are pretty upfront with teams that you don't do opt outs and contracts.
Is that accurate?
And given how there's been a bunch of these deals the last year or two, where it's like three years, one 20 with opt outs, is that a policy that maybe you need to revisit?
Yeah, well, I was just going to follow up.
Is that a policy you've had before coming to the Phillies, or is that more of a Phillies philosophy?
Let's go to Todd Zielecki.
Just talking about something that JT was was discussing, which was sort of all of the things that that he gets a lot of praise for from your pitchers and really around baseball, the game calling and some of the intangible things that he brings is how difficult is it to put a value on that?
