So good evening, Madam Chair and members of the board.

Um my name is Everett Lott, Assistant Director with the Department of Transportation and Capital Infrastructure.

And I'm joined here by Alisa Thring, program manager for the Department of Transportation and Capital Infrastructure.

Um tonight we have six slides covering items number seven on the agenda titled the County's Residential Traffic Management Guide Update.

For some background, in September 2019, the board endorsed the county's Residential Traffic Management Guide, also commonly known as the RTM Guide.

This guide was developed through a board member initiative in 2017 to create a more organized and consistent approach for evaluating and addressing traffic safety concerns in residential neighborhoods.

It established a uniform set of criteria for roads that are VDOT maintained with post to speed limits of 25 miles.

Miles per hour are less.

At a high level, the process relies on input from residents, county staff, VDOT, Loudoun County Sheriff's Office, Loudoun County Public Schools, the Fire and Rescue Department, and other stakeholders to help identify traffic concerns and develop appropriate solutions.
