or part time, whether we start meetings earlier or later or anything like that, because we cannot require future boards to have their meetings at a certain time.

We can't require future boards to to to really do anything.

We we just can't.

Um some of us choose to do this job full time and some of us don't.

And I think that we all do this job well in in in

the best way that we can and we serve our constituents well.

I mean I I think that everyone up here is pretty decent supervisors to be frank, whether you have a full time job outside of this or not.

And I don't think anybody should um nobody should be dictated to as to how they do this job, nor can we dictate to anybody how they do this job.

For me it's about um allowing perhaps new voices

uh to to be able to consider public service as a path um for their careers.

And if it is a position that only pays, like it says in the item, 69% of the twenty twenty six AMI, this may not be the first choice, say, for um someone coming out of college or for someone

You know, well uh uh folks that aren't here now, right?

Like for me it's about the folks of the future, not necessarily about the folks that are sitting on the board right now.

Um and

the disparity in the pay can present barriers uh to entering into public service.

Um and we want individuals uh who do not have a second household income, who do not have independent wealth, um, and those who may not be able to have another job on top of doing this job.

So I would in no way um criticize any of my colleagues for how they do this job more they have a

full time or part time job aside from that.

I mean I've had a couple different jobs aside from this one.

Um so anyway that that's what it's about for me and um if if we need to have more public discussion about it, I'm fine with that as well.
