So I think that also needs to be called out where she relies that.

And I also think it's very, really good to have a left footed player in defence with Chloe Mustacki because it bounces out and we haven't always had that.

And I think we've had problems with that in the past with getting the ball out quicker and

Teams would also kind of pressurise a right footed player on the left hand side.

So I think that's also a really good strength now that we have on that and also kind of releases Katie and she gets on the ball quicker.

100% I think she's been an incredible appointment she is really well respected by the players and by the team and obviously I didn't work under her but I spoke to her because I suppose she thought I was going to come back and then I obviously had to break the news that I was retiring but in those handful of conversations I had gotten incredible energy and it

I just knew she was going to be a super people manager and I think that's half the battle when you are an international manager and when you're a manager in general, to be honest.

I think if you have those people skills and you can manage the people, a lot of the football will handle itself and she has the background staff, the assistant coaches,

and to do a lot of all the kind of tactical work and whatnot I'm sure she does that as well but I think that from a people side of things it's so important and the girls are working really well under everyone is flourishing.

Yeah, absolutely.

Look, as a lot of the girls were saying post-game and similar to Carla, they all were saying they would have bitten your arm off if they were in this position at the start of the campaign.

So they're obviously disappointed they didn't automatically qualify because they had that chance.

So that's just normal.

Like any human being will be disappointed when you have that chance and it slips.

But ultimately, they're in a super position.

They're going to put the work in, no doubt, be super ready for October and give it their all.

It definitely made me think more.

But ultimately, look, I kind of had my decision made, but it was definitely

made it harder because I would have really liked to have worked under her and got that experience but yeah ultimately I knew my decision was made but I still got to go in with the team at the start of the campaign and it was lovely to meet her in person and to be around the team for a while so yeah I thought she handled the players that had retired really well and still kind of made us all feel included so

That kind of transition was brilliant.
