no problem I think it says a lot about how far this team has gone and how much Friday night gave us such a buzz that we're kind of looking at a really tight 1-0 defeat to France where Ireland missed a chance in the last few minutes and could have went you know if that got in That's a nervy last 13 minutes or so for France. And we're kind of a bit disappointed. Whereas, you know, if you look where we were 18 months ago or so, the fact that Ireland, you know, beat the Netherlands and lost three really tight games to France twice and the Netherlands away in games we could have got a result out of all three. It's kind of remarkable, really, that we're on the disappointed side, isn't it?
It really is. When I was going to bed last night, I was thinking like how the tables have turned when Carla first came in and people were not as behind the team. And I suppose results weren't going our way, but it just shows that they've come together as a group. And as you said, those first two games against France and the Netherlands were, they really could have went our way and it would be a completely different story but yeah as you said I'm super disappointed for the team because I had full belief that they could have went and did it yesterday but look as you said they're in a really good position for the playoffs and hopefully they can just go and do it.
Yeah, absolutely. We heard from Denise O'Sullivan earlier in the show who was like talking to Steve-O and she was just disappointed with her own performance and I think a lot of people kind of watching will understand that especially in the first half which can happen in the game especially when you're under the cosh against a really, really good team but... Again, one thing we were talking about is that this team has really developed into a team that's a lot less reliant on Katie and Denise. And if you look at the performances of Emily Murphy, you obviously look at the performances of Shiva, Carusa, Abby Larkin when she's coming on. The defence has been absolutely brilliant. Caitlin Hayes and Anna Patton have really put their marker down as the sort of centre of that Irish defence from now on.

And It is a team that is certainly a bit more well-rounded than maybe we were when Carla came in initially.
Yeah, I definitely think it's much more balanced. There's positions all over the pitch that the subs can come on and you're kind of, you don't know who's going to start, I suppose, like between Abby Larkin and Emily Murphy, people probably weren't sure who Carly would go with after Abby Larkin's incredible performance down in Porky Queve. Similarly with Jess Sue, she's such a talent. So it's, As you said, we're not just relying on Katie and Denise. There's talent throughout the squad now, which is brilliant to see. So I think there's still young talent coming through. So I'm just excited to see how the group continue to progress. And yeah, hopefully that come October, they can get the job done.
