That wasn't the case.

even a year or two ago when I was in the frame, like I was working a full-time job and playing.

So like that, if you're looking at the squad now, everyone's fully professional.

So I think within teams, you mightn't have the best talent, but if you have the work rate and you're so fit, like that can take you so far.

And I think that's, we're at a really good place in that stance.

So yeah,

getting players at playing at that professional level and like technically getting better and getting more confident we're like we have to be keeping improving

I think a bit of both.

I also think it needs to start even before that, the grassroots level.

Like when I think of Gaelic clubs around Galway, for instance, there's hundreds of them, like in every village.

But then with the soccer teams, there's only a handful of teams across Galway.

So you're trying to catch...

the girls at a young age so when they're growing up like they're going to fall in love with soccer instead of Gaelic so that's one part of it and then the other part I think to get the high performance in straight away it probably needs to be done from a central perspective I don't know

Maybe if we follow what the FA did for the English girls like 10, 12 years ago and start there where they brought in like central contracts for the girls and that kind of a way.

I think that could be a good avenue.

But I know the clubs are doing the best they can, but they're struggling for resources and they struggle each year trying to get money from boards and from communities and whatnot to pay the players or pay expenses.

So I think going from a central perspective is the best option.

Yeah, and for me, it's something I'm super passionate about.

And having a young girl myself, I want to be able to...

that she has that opportunity.
