So my, I think this is going to be so boring after In Excess and everything, but I went to CSU Bathurst, did a journalism degree, always wanted to be in broadcast.
I'd work that out.
So I got a job in radio back in Sydney at 2SM where a lot of journalists, I would say, as a newsreader.
Only there a very short time because, you know, when you're in your early 20s, you're sort of moving around a bit.
Then went to ARN.
We were speaking on the other show about ARN.
I worked as the Mix 106.5 newsreader for a little while.
It's now KISS, I believe.
And then I went to London, as a lot of Aussies do.
Worked in publishing at Marble Arch briefly for Hachette Filippaki.
Came back, really wanted to work in TV.
Ended up working briefly with my now boss, David Koch, at Sunrise as a producer.
But I really wanted to be on air and this was a behind the scenes job.
So my, talking about who you know, my boyfriend at the time was a cameraman at Channel 9, ended up getting an internship and that fell through into a producer role at Channel 9 for a few years.
And I was sort of just, you know, I was doing well and I had a great time at Channel 9, but I wasn't getting where I wanted to be.
And
ComSec was looking for a finance presenter.
So my boss at Channel 9, and I'm going to give him a shout out because he helped my career, Tony Ritchie said, look, ComSec's looking for a finance presenter.
You really want to be on air.
I don't really have anything at the moment for you, but why don't you give this a go?
