You never know where it's going to take you.

And it was fabulous.

I ended up being there for nearly 10 years.

They trained me in everything finance.

It was obviously when the GFC happened, finance became the main story.

And ComSec, as you know, always has all these

hits on all there on the network.

So I ended up being on Channel 9 and 10 and 7 and ABC and everything as in my role as a ComSec reporter.

But I always wanted to live overseas again.

And so then I just basically cold called the hell out of everything and thought it was never going to happen.

But I was freelancing.

So I left ComSec, I was freelancing.

And Bloomberg

asked me to cover the Sydney siege for them because, and again, a lot of things in life, it's all about timing, right?

And their Sydney reporter just wasn't able to work that day.

I think he was ill or something.

So Bloomberg asked me to freelance and the rest, as they say, is history because somebody in New York saw me and said, well, let's hire her and they moved me to Hong Kong.

I was in Hong Kong for a couple of years and they moved me to Singapore and

I had a great, you know, almost decade at Bloomberg as well.

And really the only reason I left was because I wanted to come home.
