And I also realized that romance is a great way to just like give readers a little breather in between the dark histories that I explore.

I had no book tour.

So it was a lot of virtual interviews.

And then that was COVID.

And then my second book, it was also during COVID.

And then my third book was the first time, The Red Palace was the first time I did a book launch in person.

Wow.

the readership and like the impact of the books had and like even the sale like i think red palace is one of your most known books did that blow up on social media like where did that all happen so i'm i'm pretty sure that it did impact sales like i would never know right because i i don't know how it would have been like if i had debuted before covid but i'm i from what i've heard it did impact sales because all the bookstores were closed and with red palace i think it

it did really well, mainly because it was my first attempt at romance, writing romance.

And I think people really liked the pair, the couple.

So I think it's the romance.

like i i respect authors who can do series but for me like my brain shuts down at book one i cannot develop it beyond book one yeah interesting what's harder to write the first line or the last line of the book

I think, hmm, I think the last line.

Because the first line, usually I have a lot of time to, I spend a lot of time writing it, rewriting it, and getting it pitch perfect.

And by the time I reach the end of a story, I'm usually, it's like a marathon runner.

You're just like crawling to the finish line.

And so usually I'm really tired and burnt out by then.

And so trying to muster up the energy to write a really good last line, I think,

It's a bit tricky.

So I get it.
