Because maybe I've got two hundred dollars right now and that means I could like afford I don't know how much a shirt costs and
the gap anymore, but like

Um by paying in four, you know, monthly payments or something, right?
Spreading out that that cost.
Now
to do the financing and the rigmarole and the beating people for payments and all that, that's like a lot of work and retailers don't like to do that.
But they do like to convert these shopping carts and they do like to make their money.
And so what they'll typically do with companies like Afirm or Klarna is pay effectively a sales commission back to them.
Some percentage on whatever the total amount is.
will will be held uh as a fee by the the financing company.
And uh they as far as I know, typically in these relationships, the retailer gets paid right away.
Um they get the money on whatever terms, net 30, net forty five or whatever.
Um and then it's up to Clarna to be the you know the debt collector.
And how they manage that business and how they go, you know, that's why they do it at zero percent with like relatively no fees until and unless you are um become delinquent, at which point there's probably I don't know, I assume there are fees involved.
