He needs to feel that it's been for something that, you know, and he has his religion and he has his.

He has a different family, he has his children, another partner.

And it's like these twin spirits of like the world and the depths.

I feel like they were useful for me in just understanding what would happen if these twin spirits were to try and raise a family.

And then from that, obviously then they become people.

There's a moment when a character is an idea and that's one thing, but if you spend enough time with the character as a writer and you put enough work in, eventually the character begins to live, actually begins to be a whole person.

And it's not just that you're telling the character what to say, you have this beautiful moment when

you're kind of eavesdropping on a conversation that the character's having and you're just there with them in the room, writing it down.

And that's when it's really, that's when I really feel that I love them.

I know them, that they're surprising me.

They're starting to live and breathe.

And it's everything in my life that I've observed, that I've witnessed, that I've imagined, that I've encountered.

And somehow there's this other thing at play as well, which is beyond everything that I could ever have intended or imagined or even worked to try and achieve with the character.

There's some kind of element of,

of them-ness, of like Meg-ness, that's the name of Rothko's mum is Meg, she starts to come to life.

And within this family, there is some dysfunction.

And what happens is within this family, one sibling becomes extremely functional, Soraya, and the other sibling is unable to function very well.

And that's Rothko.

And somewhere in all this, they're just people trying their best to love each other and carry on.
