This novel...
Yeah, it held me through some pretty heavy stuff that was happening in my life.
So I think I clung on to it, really, to get me through.
And some stuff that was happening outside of work stuff, just like life stuff, has been quite intense.
And for sure...
I feel a bit like silly being on the radio talking about, oh, like it's hard work being, you know, doing this job that is my dream and has always been my dream and, you know, is really, really is my life force.
And I feel extremely, extremely grateful to be able to live for my ideas and to have people give value to them by turning up to my shows or to, you know,
But the deadlines have been extreme and it was the case that I would be like, you know, I'd finish a gig and I'd be working on the novel.
I'd be in an airport traveling between festivals or something and I'd have my laptop on the handle of the suitcase.
If you pull it up and put the laptop on top of it, you could push the suitcase through the airport and be typing at the same time.
Yeah, it was heavy.
It was heavy and I nearly did lose it.
And I was working.
I would get back off tour and you're absolutely ruined.
