But the day before, even though they won, they weren't getting a lot of hits.

They win to nothing.

So

Overall a mixed bag in terms of offensive performance against the Angels even though you're gonna take it because you get the series win but it is it it is exasperated when Vlad is not able to

get that hit in that spot in particular because as you say like Soriano has been had been so good in that game and then the Blue Jays finally had some guys on base albeit they got on base from some infield singles and you know some legging out some hits and stuff like that but you take it where you can get it and you hope that Vladdy can as you say like

get one into the outfield, hit the grass a little bit, and at least drive in a couple runs and keep that momentum going a little bit.

And then you have Okamoto coming up after him, and obviously he's been the hottest Blue Jays hitter.

So you like your odds in that spot as well.

and vlad you know not just the result but you don't even really like love the the plate appearance right like what he did end up swinging at and the results overall just like not not great and you're not going to pin this loss on vladdy you're not going to necessarily say it was it was all because of him no one had particularly great yeah exactly there was no real standout offensive performer in a game like this and and to some extent that's because of what the angels were doing on the other side with their starting pitching but

When you have a chance to sweep, and you're coming off a game in which you scored double-digit runs, you kind of hope the team can come out a little bit more lively and be able to find ways to get on base.

I know it's tough when you're against a starter that's pitching really well, but

You know, this is a Blue Jays team that knows how to pick their spots and can put up tough at bats and can rack up the pitch count.

And those are things that they did in the first inning when he threw 25 pitches.

But they just weren't able to kind of carry that into the latter innings.

And they weren't really able to really get any kind of momentum until that eighth inning.

And then, obviously, Vladdy wasn't able to come through.

So, yeah, just a tough overall.

And you don't love the game overall offensively.

You feel a little bit deflated from the Vlade at bat.

Like, just overall not great.
