Yes, very, very open and very thankful that she was because, you know, through life you meet people with the same, or you hear stories, you know, people about, well, their dad went to prison, their mom went to prison.
And or you hear, well, I'm not going to tell them their daddy's just at work.
I don't think you need to do that.
I don't think that's a good idea at all, because you're eventually that that white lie that you tell children is eventually going to be broken.
Like you're eventually going to break their heart because they're eventually going to ask, why couldn't you tell me the truth?
Because I've had to ask my mom a lot of those things too.
So I'm going to go back to being in prison and all that good stuff.
I can honestly remember it a handful of times.
I think once I, you know, started to get a little bit older, started to develop this thing.
The third, you know, hit puberty.
I think that's when my mama was like, okay, stop.
So for the first 13 years, it was a lot of hope and promises made.
During that 13 years, my childhood was so amazing.
I had such a great childhood with my Memaw.
