Off the rails from the U.S.
Faster Payments Council.
Thank you for welcoming me.
So given a bit of a view of CGI, so CGI is a global company.
We operate out in 40 countries and we have over 96,000 members across those 40 locations that we operate out on.
We work in every industry from government all the way through to utilities, businesses, all the way through to banking.
As part of that offering that we provide to our client base is we provide consultancy services, systems integrations and consulting services with regards to that and also products.
So I work in the product side of CGI and I work under the banking sector and I'm responsible for all of our payment solutions with our go-to-markets.
when we're looking at from a payments perspective, um, a number of initiatives we've been looking at is obviously besides the standard RTGS ACH applications, we've obviously been working in the fast payments world for a number of years, especially from, from a European and UK perspective.
And obviously now we've come in with regards to the U S payment rails.
And obviously next year we're going to be doing the Canadian RTR when that launches.
So for our offering to our client base is always making sure that, um,
We've got the right solution built into our product and that service we provide to our clients so that our clients are able to go forward with that specific service to their client base.
So we work really hand in hand with our clients and also with industry in what do we build and when do we build that piece of functionality into our solution.
Yeah, that's a good question with regards to it.
So for instance, in Europe and the UK, often change comes in to be mandated, where banks then take on that mantle with regards to, because the regulator has mandated,
the adoption of something.
And so, and that's a difference with the US.
There is realistically, nothing is really mandated from that perspective.
So I think the US then has to do a little bit more work from the bank's perspective in pushing to get the, obviously the business change to do this, to offer this service out.
