Venmo is.
And it's diversification.
That's also doesn't help the bank.
because I'm holding that money at Venmo, I'm not holding it at the bank level.
So therefore the bank is not earning interest on my money, Venmo is.
And then the other issue you have with regards to that is if I then want to withdraw money on that, I've got two choices.
I can do a faster payment, but it's going to cost me, or I can do the ACH, which is going to take me three days.
That's a completely different model.
So is that really a faster payment when you talk Venmo in regards to this, you know?
That's a very different approach and how we're looking at it in the US perspective versus around the world and how they are adopting with regards to it.
So I think so for the faster payments council is what is the approach of how we're going to look at directly targeting with the banks, their consumers to broaden out and build that faster payment network to all people.
I think one of the good things is the establishment of the fast payments council.
And bringing in, I truly do, because no one else is really doing this at the moment.
And I think bringing in all walks of life associates, so vendors like CGI, for instance, you know, you're bringing in your banks, you're bringing in your corporate associate, and you're bringing in all the necessary people to start looking at that from a community perspective of how do we then bring faster payments into the US and what are the
The hurdles we have to overcome, you're getting that from not just the bank view, you're getting it from other views as well to bring that cohesiveness of how do you go forward with the faster payments.
And I think that will be really key with regards to when you're then looking at what's coming down the pipe is the cross-border instant payment opportunity that the US are going to be needing to adopt in regards to it.
So it's not only trying to push out
faster payments domestically, you're also right on the heels of cross-border instant payments, which is going to be coming.
It started, but it's going to start to really bring a lot more awareness as more and more consumers start adopting faster in the U.S.
Sell.
