That's another big area that I think US banks greatly need to look at is at the moment, it's very much targeted that their offering is in the corporate side of things with regards to corporate accounts, but not really from an offering into the you and I, the customer account to account perspective in that regard.
Whereas there's a whole digital first approach with regards in the UK, for instance, where I bank in the UK today,
And the offering is directly, it's fast, instant, straight away.
It's no other rail goes into a play because if I stay with under the threshold of the limits, et cetera, and my payment that I wanted to make meets all that criteria, it's going instantly straight away with regards to that.
So I know from a payer, I know that that person who I want to send that money to is getting that money immediately in regards to it.
That's a great service.
That for me, as an account holder with a bank, I know my payment is going when I want to make that payment.
And I think in the US side of things, same day settlement is great with regards to from a consumer, but it's got to be offered to the consumers, i.e.
the you and I to do that.
And that's where I think banks on the digital footprint side of things need to start looking at.
Because as well, we've got like we had Zelle for a while.
Obviously now from a consumer perspective, you now can't utilize that.
You have to go through your bank.
But you then have Venmo.
And so Venmo is an alternative with regards to sending instant payments.
It's through Venmo.
But when you then look at Venmo is if I want, I'm holding money in there.
I'm not earning interest on that money.
