So they tried to just stitch it up and see if they can.
Obviously there's not much blood flow to that area, so it was going to be a risk whether it was going to work or not.
But it ended up working.
But over the years, the last few years especially, they've got,
you know damage to them again I've got a few tears here or there but not significant enough for me to have to do anything about it so it's just managing them really
Yeah, well, at that time when it did happen, the doctor did say, look, as little as much sport, like if at all going forward.
And I was like, well, that's not happening.
I was determined to be like, no, that's definitely not me.
So I guess you just get back on the grind.
You just have to listen to your body.
Sometimes you can do things, sometimes you can't.
And I think that's where physios and doctors come in quite well.
They know what every individual is capable of doing or what they can't do.
Unfortunately, the way I play is quite hard on my knees and my ankles, but I'm going to do it for as long as I can, as much as I can, until the body gives in, and then I'll go and enjoy the rest of my life.
The mind is an amazing thing, and it's helped me at times, or the worst of times, in times when you think you literally can't do it anymore.
It's really pulled me through, so...
I think that's the aspect of sport where you really have to hone in at times.
And it doesn't matter how good you're doing.
If you're on that high, the lows do come.
So it's just being preparing yourself because it's a roller coaster.
