And to dig yourself out of that and stay on that high, it's a tough one.
It's quite hard.

Yeah, I mean, I made it into the rep teams, yes.
I was being selected in those teams, so I was all right.
I was good.
It's quite hard sometimes.
I don't like talking too much about my performances.
But, yeah, the year before I decided to move over, I just played the under-21s.
The Protea squad had just had their trials.
I think it was in December.
and I got selected in the group to go into the final trials.
But at that point I was like, right, do I stick it out here or do I go for this opportunity in New Zealand?
Not much offering for me in New Zealand.
It's tough.
I really take my hat off to the players that do play for South Africa because up until recently it was not a paid position.
And I know people that played in the South Africa or know of people that were studying for years and years and years because they just weren't flexible.
The unis aren't as flexible to be able to allow you to go do that.
You can't maintain a job necessarily there.
