I played Becker Level, which is the development, or now it's the NNL League, under the franchise in 2016.

Had a really good year that year for me, personally.

And because of the great year, I actually got invited to a Ferns Trials.

This is without being in a franchise.

And I didn't know that was possible, but I hadn't played for South Africa, so it's not like I was bound to having played with them and had to sit out, like, four or five years.

So at that point, like, no, you're eligible for...

So, I went to the Ferns trials, and I think at that point, a franchise, the Pulse, because Waimarama Taumanu was a big influence, or like a coach for me at the Pulse as well, and so she one day came up to me, she's like, you know you're eligible for the Ferns, and I was like, I wasn't even in a franchise team at that point, so I was like, oh my gosh, I didn't know this, and

But, yeah, so I got invited to the Ferns trials, just experience.
