He would argue that you just need to equip it with the right neuromodulators so that it can realize its inferences.
Um and um what would they look like?

You'd have to, you know, you you you can't just set it off and use reinforcement learning, come back, make yourself conscious, and let me know when you've done it.
It would have to be an ongoing process of interaction within an ecosystem where there was some shared genitive model.
And I forgot to say earlier on again, this this notion of homology is absolutely central, I think, because when I talk about these things, consciousness depends.
Upon a shared narrative, a shared generative moral, and certainly talking about it does, because communicational language does.
So another aspect of homology is the fact that we all come to share the same functional architectures because we all learn the same things, we learn the same language, and of course that's a fundamental aspect of minimizing uncertainty and minimizing free energy when we all come to predict each other.
And from that emerges language and communication.
And of course, the notion, the hypothesis that you know, we all have feelings and we can talk about the feelings.
Not necessary to have the feelings, but we can certainly talk about them.
