And then it ends up having a knock-on effect on career advancement and that type of thing.
It's extremely popular.

I mean, it's kind of they've tweaked it a little bit over the years, but woe betide any government that would now try and take that away.
I think it would be extremely seen as extremely retrograde if they did that.
That would go down extremely badly.
And I think that also a lot of women will talk about the fact that, you know, this bonding thing with the father, the two months that they have.
I mean, my husband bought a cookbook and ended up sort of getting some meals that, you know, 15 years later, he's still kind of, they're his signature dishes that he learned at this time.
So there's a sense that it was quite practical and quite kind of, it just eases the burden.
And then, of course, after that nice 14 months is over, then, you know, reality hits again.
and you are dealing then with things like childcare provision, which is, I think, better in Germany than it is in many other countries, but it's still fast and perfect.
