And that's okay.

I'm not an overthinker.

Mostly because my brain can't hold the amount of thinking required for overthinking.

I have aphantasia, meaning that I can't imagine anything.

I have no inner eye.

And my brain is also silent, so there's no inner monologue.

I can't create any sensory experience in my head.

And this affects memory a lot.

Episodic memory specifically.

Like I can remember the sequence of postures in the primary series of Ishtanga, for example.

I speak Italian, but what did we do yesterday?

What clothes am I wearing right now without looking down?

Do I remember that trip we took to New York a while back?

No, I don't remember any of it.

And I used to get really down on myself about that.

Before I I understood it as just the way my own circuitry is laid out.

Now I think of it as a sort of blessing.

I'm always rediscovering things.

Instead of losing my earrings, I'm finding a new pair.
