And I think it makes me really present, which helps me do all my jobs.
And it does prevent me from ruminating and overthinking.
I just can't physiologically sustain it.
You might not relate to any of this.
My kind of brain is about one in a hundred.
But my point is just that there are deep-seated reasons why we interact with the world and our lives the way that we do.
And learning more about them helps you find the useful parts and accommodate the tricky parts.
So if you think there is something weird about your brain, look it up.
I bet you'll find more than help.

I went to the drive-in a few times as a kid, and since I have always been sleep-centered, bed-coated, night-night forward, I am for the sheets and not the streets, I never made it past the first 10 minutes.
I remember my brother and I begging to go, mom taking us, and it was a double feature of the burbs and arachnophobia.
Remember this was the 80s.
I was scared because they both seemed like scary movies, but I fell asleep in the backseat after the previews, so it was fine.
Lastly we heard early T Yoga, which was one of the first bedtime stories I ever wrote.
Very season one vibes.
I taught yoga full time for twenty years.
It was a dream job, and I loved being the soft landing to folks as they came in and set their troubles down, even if just for an hour or so.
I owned a studio and I was pretty strict about the yoga room being silent.
