And so to be successful...

And then there's what I've done with Poor, which is phenomenal, like eight languages.
It's been in the top ten for three years.
But more than that, it's not about book sales.
It's just about
The impact on people, the messages, the love, the teachers, all of that has just been life changing in a really warm way, in a way that I could never have expected, actually, you know, the girl that was cynical.
from my childhood that lived in me.
You know, the part of me that kind of thought the world was a dark place was there before Paul came out.
And with the response and just the outpour of love, that part of me is healed a bit, which I never could have expected from publishing this book.
So it's been amazing.
Probably, because I hate high heels.

Well, I think the idea of poverty being this completely bleak experience is untrue.
And we get misrepresented in literature, in films, in plays.
And so, you know, I think I told the truth of poverty.
of what it's like to be poor and to grow up in poverty.
Like some people experience no light and no love.
And what I wanted to say in Poor was this is how I escaped my destiny.
