Oh, that is true.
People like me don't write books is something that I think definitely has blocked me.
But even from writing fiction, like I can't even say to you, Claire, I'm writing fiction.
I'll say I'm trying to write fiction because in my head, I'm still at the stage where I'm like, am I really that writer?
I've done this writing, but am I, can I do that?
Definitely I'm a writer but whether I am a good enough writer to write successful fiction that people read and enjoy I don't know.
Like you get boxed as well within it's very rare for someone to just write all different types of things.
But also when we say imposter syndrome I just need to clarify the world of writing is dominated by middle class people
Middle class voices.
Most women, unfortunately, or fortunately for them, who actually make it as successful writers... Yes.
...have a lot of privilege.
They're able to write.
To be a good writer, you need to be able to write.
A lot.
And that means sometimes not working.
So if you actually investigated the people who make it...
