Medicine was imperfect and life was imperfect and love was imperfect.
And as a result of that, I it was actually telling for me because I think until that point I had not completely trusted him with my mind.
And it occurred to me at that point I didn't have any choice.
I mean I I I really had trusted him, as he in fact trusted me.
I think anybody who's in in love, you know, you you trust that it's an enormous act of faith.
But from that point on actually I I just sort of assumed that, you know, he was going to do the best he could do and and I would do the best I could do and and that was just the way it was, you know, it was not wasn't worth agonizing about.
He didn't have very many options other than to be a good doctor and one one thing about being a good doctor is plan for emergencies.
Yes, it's a wonderful bit.
I mean the story is romantic.
Yes, he wa uh he was a combination of a romantic and very charming and very funny man.
So that you can really get by and get through a lot of difficulties in life if you can laugh at things.
And he could with a one liner just have me on the floor laughing and
I think that was a great saving grace in our relationship.
You know, we we both basically really enjoyed life.
We're both optimistic by nature and
particularly the moment you described in in Rome where he filled the bathtub with flowers and everything.
He also at that time
It was exactly a year really since I'd been public about my illness.
And he knew more than anyone how hard it had been.
