But if I can't get there, then World's 2027, which I think are in Budapest.
I've spoken to my psychologists and people really close to me because this is something I really, really struggled with post-Paris.
I never swam to get all these accolades or
to just get all that kind of acknowledgement.
So when people say it, it's actually like it's a hard pill to swallow and I'm still not too sure why and I think it's because I still want to pursue more.
But it is very nice and I will never take it for granted.
I think back to when I was a kid, you know, kicking and screaming because I hated going to swimming lessons.
I would go and hide in the bathrooms or go hide out in the kiddies' pool and just be like, I'm not going and crack the biggest sads.
So to have come this far, to have achieved such goals like you've said, it's like it kind of allows me to feel confident going into the LA Olympics with almost no pressure because I'm like I've done everything and more that I could have ever dreamt of.
And I think there's something so beautiful about that too because it's like
There's people who have targets on my back.
There's people who want to shoot me down any chance that they can.
But I'm like, you can never take away what I've done.
Like, yes, you can go and break my world records, my best times, but you can never take my medals away from me.
And that's something that I've had to really work through because I'm always –
that person that's like, I have to keep relevant.
I have to keep proving to everyone that I am the best backstroker in the world.
And the truth is, it's like, there's always going to be someone up and coming and like, I'm constantly looking over my shoulders as well.
So, but that's in any environment, you know, whether you're a CEO or a manager, like there's always going to be someone who wants your spot.
And I think too, when you're at a meet like the Olympics, so for those who don't know, the swimming goes over eight days, which is very, very long.
