And to regulate your emotions from the highs to the lows throughout that eight days, it can be so, so hard.
I found myself on day six falling short with COVID and I had two finals within two days that were really big.
So it was so hard for me.
And I remember being on the podium after my turn to backstroke in a moment that I should have been so happy.
I was so stressed because I had 20 minutes until my next race.
And I remember looking at my mom and my sister being like, I can't even come say hello to you because I've got to go.
And I was tearing up because I was so anxious.
I was so nervous.
And I was like,
oh, like I want to enjoy this, but I can't.
And that's something that I now in hindsight, I wish I really just stood there and soaked it in because like that could have been my last time.

And I think too, you look at people like Ariane Titmuss,
people would have thought that she would have gone all the way to Brisbane 2032, right?
Like she was on top of her game.
And I remember having a conversation with her and she was like, I've done everything that I wanted to.
She's like, I don't feel the need to, she's like, of course I could be hungry and have the drive to do it again.
But she's like, I,
Like, I don't really want to.
