A truly interesting question for the Grizzlies and NBA fans is what if Ty Jerome's per minute activity the last two years is real?
Like what if he's a he's one of those guys who in his late twenties has figured the NBA out a lot more?
One of those rare guards where it's like, you know what?
I'm actually awesome.
And I th I think that's a fun X factor.
And it's definitely one of those things that Gris's fans, when we're daydreaming, we're like, why not Ty Jerome?
What why not a sixty-two percent true shooting, eighteen point per game guy?

Thanks for having me, guys. This works out great for you. It does. Selfishly, yes. You get some hot content. The wheel picked the Grizzlies, and then they make this stunning move to not fire Taylor Jenkins, to part ways. The press release says, parted ways. Yo. Oh, man. What? I'm stunned. Also, like... Obviously, this is less than, you know, they played the Thunder last night.
Like, you got to see the Thunder. I sat in the same room as him yesterday.
The Thunder dropped a 28-3 run in the fourth quarter on the Grizzlies. My joke is, here's my actual analysis as a Grizzlies expert. I think Robert para tuned in to five minutes of a Grizzlies basketball game. So saw Jaron Jackson jr. Sitting on the bench with five and a half minutes left and the Grizzlies didn't score. He's like, what's, what is this? What's what's going on? That guy's got to go.
Are there like some, are there were some really good college basketball jobs that just opened up with March madness and Taylor wants to go get one. I don't know.
I'm lost. I mean, it is stunning. Weeks ahead of the playoffs to fire your coach when they're tied for the fourth best record. in the West. Like they're going to the playoffs. This is a team that now has, they fired their coach three weeks ahead of the playoffs. And then they were the two seat at the trade deadline. And they used the first round pick to salary dump rotation players.
Like when's the last time a team did either one of those things that are in the same position. I mean, it is, it's really shocking. And I know the fans are, we're frustrated because the season has taken a little bit of a turn. Like, um, Alex read the, uh, like the cleaning the glass numbers, you know, 10th and defense. That is the first 30 games.
They were like fourth or fifth, the last 40 games, their 20th. So that's not a small slide. This is the entire hat last half of the season. I mean, maybe the players have tuned them out or something. I mean, I think also as, as we, like we recorded this on Friday and the news just broke, um,
And so maybe we'll find more answers, but I think you have to start with wondering, what's the relationship like with Ja Morant? And Taylor Jenkins and maybe Jared Jackson Jr. And Taylor Jenkins. And then you have to wonder maybe about like this much ballyhooed new offense that they installed. And of course, John Moran's numbers are down when he plays. His scoring numbers are down.
But they've been winning games just not so much as of late. They're 9-13 since the trade deadline. Why would Taylor Jenkins make those trades? You had to fire him. Would you have been? I don't know.
I guess I still would have been surprised. I felt like he was going to get a free pass. with the way the season went where they're like, oh, wow, they're going to slip down to the five seed and then be an underdog in the first round. They're going to lose in the first round again. And they'd be like, well, you know, Jaws hamstring was sore and things didn't work out.
Martin Smart didn't work out here. So, I mean, maybe surprise is not the right word. I would have thought maybe there's a good chance they do nothing and just run it back again. I do think if they had continued winning and were the second or the third seed, And then ended up losing to like the Warriors or the Clippers or the Timberwolves in the first round. Well, then you have your clear cut.
Fine. We can move on from this guy. We can fire him. So, yeah, I wouldn't have been shocked, but I still kind of thought he was going to be back next year.
