The the the Grizzlies have turned the page from a Slightly disappointing era that started off very, very well. They turned the page from their biggest star in their entire franchise's history in John Morant. And yet I would say the mood is pretty good where they're saying as a fan base, we're kind of like, hey, Cam Boozer, that's fun. Let's just start over and we've got some fun guys. Basketball. Let's go compete a little bit.
bit. Nice. Um, okay. So let's jump right in then. What do you think the thing is that that fans are most looking forward to this team? Like, is there a big overwhelming, overriding storyline for the for the Grizzlies?
I think as fans we're most excited about the team trying to win basketball games as opposed to the other, which is a little bit distasteful. We're very, very excited about Cam Boozer. Who uh fell to third in the draft and the Grizzlies were rewarded for their tanking by getting Cam Boozer. So they're very excited for the new chapter of Grit and Grind Basketball. They want to see Cam Boozer, see what his potential is. And then also they're hoping the rest of the pieces are healthy. Zach Edy can return and be healthy. Cedric Coward can take a step forward. And then again, we'll actually let Tomas Isolo try to win basketball games and see how and see how that goes with this totally revamped new look Grizzlies team.

mean, how competitive do you think this team can be? You know? Um, like what what's let's say like what's the floor and what's the ceiling uh of a team this young? And I mean, it l let's be honest, this is not what this team is gonna be two years from now. Like this is the beginning. But where do you see 'em a as we're looking at 'em today?
I think the ceiling is a more interesting question than the floor. The floor is the floor. is the worst team in the West, probably. I think they are a fun basketball question just for the league pass junkies. How good can a team be If they don't have an all-star player, if they don't have maybe a top 100 player in the NBA, who's their best player is a fun off-season argument for Grizzlies fans. I think we're hoping on day one, Cam Boozer arrives and you're like, wow, this rookie is great. That doesn't happen that frequently in the NBA. So then the debate is like Is Zach Edy our best player who barely played any games last year? Is Ty Jerome? Is Jeremy Grant acquired in the John Morant deal? Is that the Grizzlies best player?
And then you get to your floor ceiling question. If Jeremy Grant's your best player, you're probably the worst team in the NBA, even if you have okay, like your tenth man's fine. Cam Spencer's awesome, but he's a support. So Floor is worst team in the West. Ceiling, I would say If you get total health from Ty Jerome and Zach Edy, I think you're probably a 500 ball club. I think play-in feels s I mean play in feels to me squarely. in the range of outcomes because they do have they have ten proven NBA players. And I think that alone Should be enough to win some basketball games. And then it's all about the high end outcomes, I think, from the variables, the health questions, as I've said. And then what is what does Cedric Coward look like coming off that all rookie first team season?
What does Zach Edy look like? What does Cambuzo look like? And then I think, yeah, you could be a competitive, probably five hundred ish basketball team.
I think five hundred is crazy for this team.
