The FCA identifies necessary repairs, capital improvements.
And so now a year later, we are still talking about getting the facility condition assessment done.
Our debt has increased.
We don't have a plan to come out of it.
The other key money-making thing was the marketing strategy.
And again, in our 25-26 adopted budget,
It was the plan to develop an integrated marketing plan with Discover Santa Clara, leverage best-in-class attribution tools, retain a consultant to conduct a stadium market trend analysis.
I feel like we are literally at the same place we were last year.
The debt has grown up.
So I think that I'm trying to learn this, and I don't want to be obstructive, but what I really see happening is
We have privatized profit and we have socialized risk in a massive way.
And we are in a point where we have the risk right now and no clear path out of that.
So I'd like to figure out, first of all, if I was amiss on those.
Again, when I go into 22J, yes, we've made more in projected rent, but in all the other categories we're off.
And maybe this is just a budgeting exercise.
To Council Member Jane's point, when I looked at what we proposed versus our actuals, the variance is like 57% per category.
So I don't even know if we're utilizing tools to plan an effective budget right now.
So I'm not sure how this is working.
