the manosphere and like those types of spaces on the internet that are indoctrinating kids and scaring kids but also completely neglects the fact that a lot of lonely young people use the internet to not feel as miserable
Yeah, there's a couple of ways that I think it's unfair to kids' democratic development as well.
Like, kids need to see different political views and that kind of stuff, whether it's through music or film or the internet.
And I'm not saying they need to see extremist, like, far-right views or anything like that, but they need to
see political content whether they're getting it from Rage Against the Machine or the Dead Kennedys or whether they're getting it from TikTok they need to see stuff that kind of gets the like critical thinking going as well and this seems like a way to I suppose quash kids in their development as well or like that's definitely going to be a consequence of it even if it's not the
immediate motive for doing this because as you said like there's not much kids can do and like if I think if we were having a different conversation like oh in order to curb bullying we're going to stop letting kids go outside like that's kind of the same like level of extreme response or like if we're going to introduce a 7pm curfew for children people would think that was obscenely extreme and to be fair like I think the vast majority of people
do think this is extreme.
I think Keir Starmer is like completely out of touch with the UK public.
