Carabini fled the country shortly after the shooting.

Whereas a few weeks after it, Barry and Mulvey were charged with attempted murder.

They went on trial in relation to that.

They contested the charges and they were cleared, actually, much to the guards' shock and, in fairness, disgust by direction of the trial judge.

That decision was appealed by the DPP, which led to another, them being charged again.

But instead what happened is they took a plea to a lesser charge of conspiring

Yeah, so they took a plea and in the end of January there at the Central Criminal Court they got combined sentences of 10 and a half years in jail, which compared to they were facing up to life in prison on the attempted murder charge, it wasn't a bad result for the two of them.

Yes, this kind of broke out as well in 2020.
