Now, let me say this about why I think it happened.

It wasn't deliberate.

It was essentially deliberate.

the continuation of a paradigm that has existed for a hundred years between the United States and Mexico, maybe 170 years.

And that is the inattention and the lack of priority to the Americas.

Yeah.

How many times does a president United States go to Buckingham palace and to London and all over Europe?

And how many trips do they take even to places like China and other places, Asia?

Okay.

Now, uh,

Well, how about Mexico?

How about the rest of the Americas?

It comes as maybe a secondary, I would say maybe in third place, a tertiary kind of relationship.

And in order for the United States to really engage in the opportunity of securing the hemisphere and securing North America, that can't happen.

That can't happen.

You got to make our neighbors as much as a priority as you're making Europe.

And that's never happened.

So-

The Biden administration, including the key people who were involved in the White House and in the State Department, fell into that trap.

And in addition to that, there were lots of other issues that they were having to deal with.
