I mean, you're a nurse, right?
And now before we go any further, this is important to note in that what you're about to hear are allegations, claims made by Dee Dee's own family, mostly after her death.
And she was never actually charged with any of it and it can no longer be proven.
So take everything with a grain of salt.
All right.
But her relatives insist the warning signs were there all along.
Now, in 1997, Dee Dee's mother, Emma, became gravely ill and Dee Dee naturally stepped into the role of caregiver, the devoted daughter at the bedside, you know.
And Emma would die later that year.
And some of the family members would later claim they believed Dee Dee played a role in her decline.
and that under Dee Dee's care, Emma seemed to get worse and worse and not any better.
And her stepmother, Laura Petra, went even further and she alleged that Dee Dee tried to poison her with weed killer after an episode she claims left her bedridden for months.
Now, again, these are allegations, but...
you know, with the history we're about to go over.
I'm not gonna put it past her, to be honest.
And years later, when the full story of Dee Dee Blanchard finally came out, her family didn't react with disbelief.
So that says something too.
They just kind of reacted with recognition.
