It's a seven-year contract.
But they want you to move on really after four or five years onto another opportunity.
And so then another young farmer can come in and take her place.
Hopefully it'll be a larger share farming opportunity or maybe lease a farm myself.
It all depends on what comes up in the future.
Now share farming hopefully will become more popular.
And the more we showcase these share farming farms working well, the more people will tend to go for them.
Yeah, so Seánach Estate owns the land and the buildings and then the share farmer purchases his own cows and brings them to the farm.
I suppose I was working for a number of years managing other farms and was able to save a bit of money and also got a £100,000 unsecured loan from AIB.
I was lucky at the time of purchasing the cows that the value of them was reasonably good so I was able to purchase them with the £100,000 and £50,000 saved up myself.
I knew coming in here that I was only going to get 60% of the milk check, so I knew that I had to be lean, I had to be efficient, my cost had to be low, while maximising output as well from the cows.
So I was lucky I bought a good herd of cows, a young herd, and they've produced well for me.
It would have been too much of an investment for me at the time to go buy a herd of cows, go lease a farm, maybe spending another 40, 50, 60,000, as well as other bits of investment that might have been needed on farm.
Whereas this farm, it was a well-set-up farm.
There was no capital infrastructure to be put in place.
All I had to do was buy my herd of cows and start milking straight away.
I guess my question is, do you get more calls from potential...
During springtime, you're busy.
You're working seven days a week.
You're working 10-, 12-hour days or whatever.
