I mean, you can be ACH, you see it in checks, you see it in wires, RTP, FedNow, they have a four corners model.
The funny part is it's five participants, but a four corners model.
Anyway, we start off, somebody wants to send money.
They have a financial institution where they have an account.
That's the sending institution.
Goes by a lot of names.
Typically something like originator, sending participant, something like that.
Now, this is the next key piece.
They then work with some type of clearinghouse, some type of network operator, some type of maybe even central bank that is there to be able to capture the transactions that are being sent
by the sending financial institution on behalf of their account holder, they capture them, they route them, they provide all kinds of services, usually something like settlement services and of course that clearing and routing.
And then they send it on to the receiving institution and then the receiver gets credited or debited.
That's what we've always had.
We moved to blockchain.
We don't have that anymore.
It's completely changing all of that because the middleman's gone.
It is a one-to-one transaction.
It is from one wallet to another wallet direct without having to go through somebody.
It doesn't go through somebody.
It goes across a blockchain network, which is really revolutionizing what we're going to see in electronic payments.
