And he's showing it.
Um, he does like to implement sort of that kind of infield mentality of kind of walking in, hopping as the pitch is going.
He said if you would, you know, have a camera from home plate looking kind of through the infield, um
you would see him kind of timing his hop and landing at the same time as the short seven second baseman.
So I did find that a little bit interesting.
It was a little bit different than um the way that I kinda had my pre pitch, but uh it's clearly working for him.
In terms of base running, um
I think there's still more in the tank for him.
I I think he's a great base runner i in terms of the things that we were talking about.
His ability to go first to third, first to home, second to home, uh take the extra bases.
I think there's more in the tank in terms of stealing bases.
Um
A lot of that has to do with where he's hitting in the lineup, who's hitting behind him, kind of uh uh an organizational philosophy on how they feel about stealing bases.
I don't really know who's got the green light, doesn't have the green light, the times to steal, not to steal.
Uh a lot of that comes from John Schneider, but
Stealing bases at the major league level is so much about understanding the pitchers and catchers that you're um going up against.
And for a guy, you know, first time through the league, um, it is a little bit more of a challenge.
At some point, you are relying on your first base coach.
Um, you are kind of just rolling the dice a little bit, saying, like, I feel like this is a good time to go.
