But, you know, if we're going to sort of look at it with history, does that does that mean it's just really hard to win here as your first time?

Peter Thompson is the only guy whose first major of that stretch was at Berkdale.

He ended up winning Berkdale again, 65.

So I don't know, like if you follow historical trends, like does that mean Fleetwood, Patton, Cantlay, Ludwig guys are not going to post that?

I think I kind of like the idea that Birkdale rewards people who are going to rack up a bunch of majors.

And I think, you know, maybe that means, you know, what a Koepka or Reed, Scotty, Rory, someone there, someone who has shown like, hey,

I'm going to add this to my historical resume.

Yeah, I was there in 2017.

It was the second Open Championship that I ever covered.

I remember feeling like this is a fun venue.

One of my things was how hard will Birkdale play?

Obviously, there's been some changes to the course.

I was there when Brandon Grace shot 62, which at the time was the lowest ever round in a major.

Zander and Ricky Fowler tied it at LACC, and then Shane Lowry shot a 62 at Valhalla.

So it doesn't hold up on its own, but it just didn't feel – that round by Brandon Grace didn't feel particularly special, but the course certainly felt special when Spieth and Kuchar were kind of throwing darts at each other in that back nine for a little bit, particularly Spieth, the run that he went on.

I don't know.

I mean, I think like, I love that it is part of the rotation.

I think just because it's got a lot of cool history and it's a, you know, it has pretty good sight lines in terms of seeing, you know, stuff in terms of walking along as fans and,
