I would disagree with some of the decision-making around some of those starts.

I did at the time.

I thought you could have given him more runway, but the reality is for the first half of his time up,

he performed at a level relative to that environment that opened eyes around the league.

And there's a skill set there, there's a length there, there's a size there, a Dobish-like qualities physically that I think teams and goalie coaches around the league

you know, had their eyes open to now, listen, if you claim a guy at waivers, you got to keep them in the national hockey league.

Right.

So like you only lose them at the team thinks he can upgrade their tandem or, or a team thinks that we're going to run three this year.

I think we're going to see more of it.

It's not going to be uncommon, but it's going to become more common.

There's already several teams talking about it.

And they think that maybe he can be the guy that we keep.

I think the Canucks would be wise to at least consider that as a possibility themselves.

So, listen, Spencer Martin, coming off one of his tougher years, got claimed off waivers from the Vancouver Canucks once.

So, I still think it's a very real possibility because of those tools that Tolopila would be lost.

But there are other guys around the league in the same boat.

And so, is he ahead of Levi Marilainen?

who two years ago was exceptional in the NHL, succumbed to expectations in a larger role in Ottawa last year, and now is facing the same situation.

Last summer, I did a poll of 20 goalie directors and coaches and scouts around the league, and Levi Marlainen, his vote total added up to a top 10 prospect in the league.

So does one down season mean that he doesn't get claimed off waivers?
