And every small action, every person who's involved in resistance and rebellion, they are someone who leads to the massive change that will hopefully come in the future.
The first black student body president at Yale.
That's what I meant.
First black, sorry.
What year was that?
So I believe we interviewed each other, or you interviewed me back in 2019.
So about seven years ago, I had my five-year graduation reunion at Yale University a few weeks ago.
And everyone remembered, people were still congratulating me for it.
And that moment, I mean, led to what I do now.
I'm a full-time educator.
I talk about Black history, Native history, politics.
And I think one of the moments that inspired me was that interview.
And I really am grateful for you
taking the time to boost my platform and talk about what I accomplished.
And it had actually been 300, I believe at that time, 318 years since Yale University opened.
And it took that long for a black person to become student body president.
And very sadly, we're seeing these attacks on DEI, these attacks on wokeness,
even though these institutions remain as white as ever.
I want to say I do.
I mean, I hope that they have some respect for the Constitution.
