And when we look at the history of authoritarian regimes, they always start with demonizing the people that

A majority can get behind, right?

So a majority of conservative and Republican base could get behind deporting illegal immigrants, as he calls them, violent legal immigrants who are undocumented people with criminal records.

And then there's less of a pushback there.

And as you go and as you become more gradual, there's less and less protests and less and less fighting against it.

And that's how it works.

You can't just start by attacking everyone.

You have to be strategic with it.

And the Republican Party and conservatives are being very strategic with their sort of deplorable actions and their unconstitutional actions.

Yeah, and because it's not just necessarily about your citizenship.

There's other ways and other markers of your identity by which you can be targeted.

If you are someone with a criminal record, there can be all sorts of added hardships for you.

As you're trying to find a job or if you are incarcerated, again, Trump did talk about sending American citizens down to El Salvador in one of those camps.

So that's something that can be top of mind for you.

If you're a transgender person or anyone in the LGBTQ plus community, if you're a teacher trying to teach black history, there's so many different ways that you can be targeted because of the broad sweeping attacks that this administration is doling out.

So there's no safety just from the fact that you're a citizen or that you're born

that you were born here.

Yeah, I do watch actually a lot of MAGA content just to get an understanding of where their mind's at.

So there is a huge portion of MAGA that's not supportive of Trump, but it's not because of this.

It's largely because of his support for Israel, him calling himself America first.
