Like I was, you know, flat feet and any kind of long distance runs were horrible back in the day.
It's just something I found chucking a podcast mate and go on your own and got a few good mates as well that we go off and they've kind of encouraged me to do a few kind of pretty epic adventures.
ultras old ghost road done that twice so 85ks um over about two and a half thousand meters of elevation across the run so mate it's a crazy time so yeah definitely lost a bit of weight to kind of get over those distances but yeah um it's a challenge it's just like i just think it's quite nice to have a challenge the mental side of it yeah the mental side of it's good to have and i think
You always got that in the back of your mind.
So when I did start running, when I finished, I was like trying to get my 5k time down, you know, I was still on the watch.
I had the rugby mentality and I was just all about competing against myself and I finished my run and I'd just be like, whack, like totally done.
I was like, you know, I figured out what the hell am I doing?
And I said, I don't need to be doing this.
Like I can actually go out and enjoy it.
Like I was like, got under my five minute Ks for whatever it was, you know, for a five or 10K run.
And then I was like, oh, now I can slow down.
I run from home mostly or in the forest or something and just enjoy it.
